Tor Lane, Hartley

With a growing family and a passion for food it was decided that the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room just had to go, by doing so an open plan family space was achieved. As this is a house of grand scale and character an in-frame, painted, solid wood kitchen was selected in a classic monochrome palate.

With the wall now removed it was imperative that sufficient storage was available so Le-Mans mechanisms were added to the corner cabinets, taller wall units and tall tower units have been used affording greater capacity, which also suits the grand proportions of the room beautifully.

A large induction hob, powerful extractor and twin ovens were specified in addition to the fully integrated white goods to ensure the kitchen is as practical as it is gorgeous. A large curved peninsular was incorporated, combining a huge prep’ area with informal seating whilst retaining a distinction between the cooking and family areas of the room.
