Goodbye January

Veganary? Dry January? Gym goals? Whatever you have achieved, well done, and if you feel like you haven’t stuck with any of those goals, don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world!

January is always a time when we consider the year ahead. We hope that you are positive and like us, that you are looking forward to the New Year.

Our January recipe was a big hit! The ingredients were chosen for a nice, fresh detox after all that would have been consumed during December. Here is a reminder of the recipe.

500g sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2cm chunks 2 red onions, cut into wedges,350g broccoli and cauliflower broken into florets 8 garlic cloves, unpeeled, 2 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp dried rosemary, 1½ tbsp olive oil 6 skinless chicken thigh fillets, each cut in half2 lemons, 1 juiced and 1 cut into wedges to serve1 tsp smoked paprika,150ml chicken stock.

Last month we celebrated Chinese New year. This year is the year of the Rat. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the whole Simply Kitchens team together for a nice Chinese banquet.

We would like to congratulate our sales designer, Abby, on her recent engagement. Abby is the newest member of the Simply Kitchen team and we are delighted for her.
